If you’ve read my blog before you could probably guess that I’m a HUGE fan of two things: books and cakes. What you might not know is that I’m also a fan of DIY projects, craftiness and foods served on sticks.
Now, what if you were a genius baker and you made a book about confectionery projects involving cakes on sticks? Well, you’d be Bakerella and you’d be my new best friend.
This isn’t my first shout out to desserty goodness living on sticks, but this is the first time I’ve had a recipe at my disposal that also comes with a photo-montage of cannibalistic cake pops devouring one of their own (with a smile on their faces, those sick bastards!)
This eat-or-be-eaten cake pop mentality has inspired me to perhaps whip up some cake pops of my own… zombie-style! Oh boy, I can’t wait to dust off my apron, remove the cobwebs from my oven and start to work on some delicious undead cakery…
And, to further prove that Bakerella is my culinary soulmate, she recently gave away a set of Star Wars cookie cutters from Williams-Sonoma. *swoon*
Now my baking “to do” list has grown to include zombified cake pops and Boba Fett cookies… forgive me if I call in *sick* tomorrow.
May the force, and the cake pan, be with you.
