Braaaains… Braaaaaaaains!
As I’m sure most of you are NOT aware, May is officially Zombie Awareness Month, as declared by the ZRS (or Zombie Research Society, for those of you who are not informed.)
To show support for Zombie Awareness Month people around the globe are sporting grey ribbons or wearing ZAM buttons like the one shown above. There are also some great events happening in various communities, such as a Zombie Literature Appreciation Party here in Vancouver.
While most of you might feel that October, what with it’s super spooky Halloween-vibe, would be the perfect time of year to focus on the Zombie threat, the ZRS feels that May is actually the perfect month for Zombie Awareness because “spring naturally brings with it a sense of renewal and hopefulness.” Therefore, they believe that “May is the perfect month to emphasize continued vigilance in the face of the coming zombie pandemic.”
In other words, we can’t let those budding flowers and chirping birds throw us off our game. Keep your lobos at the ready!
So, for the rest of the month of May, rent some of your favorite Zed-videos, dress up as your favorite deadite or bake yourself a lovely cake…
Happy Zombie Awareness Month friends… enjoy!
